Several pieces of text and/or images can be grouped together using the Group button. This makes it simple to re-size or rotate several objects together. There is no limit to the number of objects that may be grouped.
There are two options available from the Speak button. The Speak Word button says one word aloud. The Speak Paragraph button says a whole line or paragraph aloud.
When two or more objects (text and/or pictures) are selected they can be Aligned. This button will bring up the Layout window. The window offers a wide variety of ways to align objects, including vertical, horizontal, left, right or centred plains, changing the width or height according to the first selected object and equalling the gaps between items.
The Effects button allows you to change the effects for the object you have selected. The style, line colour and fill colour of all objects can be changed. If you have a picture selected then the Graphics Effects window will be shown, where a shadow or frame can be added to pictures and lines. Utilities function. The Utilities Toolbar provides access to advanced features.
The Object window allows fine control over the attributes and behaviour of objects such as a piece of text, a picture, a line etc.
Lock/Unlock to Background. Objects may be locked to the page, meaning the object cannot be selected or moved. This allows text to be typed over an object, which is useful for background pictures. The 'Access locked items' button is a toggle allowing you to edit all locked items.
The Links window can be used to add interactivity to an Easibook making lessons stimulating and exciting for students. The basic links include: Linking to a file, web page or another page of the Easibook and saying a word or phrase. Advanced animation links include adding animation, such as moving objects around the screen, playing a sound and running a Turtle procedure.
Text frames allow you to keep text within a frame and Link Text Frames enables you to link frames together so the text flows from one frame to another, like in a newspaper

If you wish to change the style of the voice for an Easibook you can do this using the Speech Options.
By clicking on Record Sound it be added to Easiteach files in two ways. It can be recorded and added as an icon on screen or it can be added so that it will play when text or a picture is clicked.
The Background Button will open the Looks window. From here the colour of the page can be changed or the background can be tiled using an image.
Styles are a quick way to set up the size, type and features of text and shapes, for example, all 'Heading' text can be set to the same font type and size.
The Handwriting tool allows you to write into an Easiteach document (or other application if you are using Glass Mode) and have the writing automatically recognised and displayed as text. Handwriting can be recognised as joined-up, non joined-up or numbers only.
